BIO

Born and raised in Lithuania, I graduated from Kaunas J. Gruodis Musical School, where I studied piano. Received a master's degree in Computer Science from Kaunas Polytechnic University.
In the USA, I received a bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts from Assumption University in Worcester, MA, and a master's degree in Theological Studies from Boston College.
Throughout my life, I have been interested in the arts. In oral arts of folk songs and tales at home, and in music, playing piano since the first grade. I took various art classes, attended lectures and visited museums, in addition to the theater and classical music concerts. I had an interest in photography, it seems, the whole time. While growing up, I studied Lithuanian photographers' works from their albums. I especially admired Antanas Sutkus, a renowned black-and-white portraitist of ordinary people in their everyday lives.
In 1996, I bought my first Nikon, and since then, I have been taking photos. Recently, I have been taking pictures with my iPhone.
